Transmitting Data from Bioluminescent Bioreporter Integrated Circuits (BBIC) Using Wireless Media

چکیده

This paper describes the architecture and operation of a direct conversion transmitter for integration with the Bioluminescent Bioreporter Integrated Circuit (BBIC). The transmitter circuit is designed for 916 MHz frequencies. This system is made up of Phase Lock Loop (PLL), Gilbert Cell mixer, Power Amplifier and Antenna. The power amplifier is added to transmit the data in desired distance. Simulation using Cadence tools shows that the transmitter performs according to the design specifications.
